What to do..what to do....

Blog after blog has been dedicated to beachcruisers and still the decision hasn't been made.
I'm finding it hard, very hard indeed.

So here come the two finalists. (yes I do realize that neither are beachcruisers which I've posted before, but that just proves I'm a woman, nothing more, nothing less).
It's going to be the Karma cruiser or the relic deluxe. The Karma cruiser has a lovely shade of purple and a karma print on the mudflaps and frame. The seat and handlebars are black with a karma print.
The relic deluxe is classic shade of red with cream and the seat and handlebars are pretty special looking.
You can imagine my dilemma.
So, have a look and let me know what you think, Thanks!!

Things could be worse,

As this is the view driving to work.

Things could be better of course.
I could be enjoying a view like this on a lovely tropical Island in stead of being stuck in traffic for hours heading toward a whole day of work.. :)

But being stuck in traffic does have it's advantages too, though.
Like, this morning, you could be stuck behind a smart with this written on the bumper;
Let op; Dit voertuig zwenkt uit.

The first Sensodyne High tea of the season!

The sensodyne high tea season starts of with a lot of emailing.
Where can you get the sensodyne action packs?
Are there any left?
And most important, where can we have our high tea's?

To our pleasant surprise, sensodyne has opted for the option of weekend high tea's this year.
Of course, this had to be put to the test.
Marielle and I were the ones up for this challenge!

It was a Saturday morning.
It was very early this Saturday morning.
It was a very early traffic filled Saturday morning.
Not that I can complain. I breezed through it all, and made it to maastricht in record braking time. Marielle on the other hand met every type of traffic jam you can think of.

Arriving at the hotel was sheer bliss. The room was ready and it was almost time to shop till you drop.

After dumping the luggage (yes, even for one night it is called luggage!) we head of to the city centre to hit the shops.
A good 5 hours with no drinks later, the shops close and we're forced to stop shopping and head out on a search for munchies.
We head towards a small cafe, called...hmm...
Marielle help me out here!!? Sams? ah..no...Edd's I think it was.
We dump our bags..(I dump my one very tiny bag.. and Marielle dumps er 440 different big bags) and we order a glass of wine and lots and lots of tapas!
A few wines and muchos tapas later I head to the loo, to find the most amazing looking washbasins I have ever seen in a loo.

I know, you must think it pretty pathetic to take a photo of the lady's loo's, but I can tell you, it is a lot more pathetic when someone walks in while your making the photo!! :)

The next morning after breakfast (and what a breakfast....fresh fruit, bacon, eggs, sausages, rolls, poffertjes, vlaai) we decide to go for a wee walk to build up our appetite again for the high tea.
Marielle takes of in a power walk while I try to schlep my breakfast filled body on behind her.

We head past the Bonnefanten museum,

down the maastricht boulevard,

where A maastricht psycho was yelling at us to F... Off, ( no, I didn't take a photo of the poor psycho boy) passed the library,

and back to the hotel for our much needed high tea.

Lovely tea! Only one cup though!! I ask you, how can you have a high tea, with only one cup of tea??!!

The sandwiches where "special" (are you getting my drift here?) but not even nearly enough, there was NO scone and there for NO clotted cream, but about half of the sweet treats on top were lovely, so that made up for it, just a wee bit.

Shopping in Maastricht is fantastic, The hotel was lovely, the breakfast at the hotel was amazing, but clearly they do not have a lot of experience with high tea's.
I had a great time all together though.

One last entry for the beach cruiser

Maker johnny Loco has a vintage woman cruiser..
It has a few extra's.

Beach cruiser V. cruiser

Okay, so your opinion is very much needed.
It's time for me to finally get a new bike. But haste is of the essence.
I'm financing it through my work, so it needs to be arranged pretty smartishly.
But I'm finding it a lot harder to choose one than I could ever have imagined.

The choice is basically between a beach cruiser from electra or a cruiser from sparta.
Some of the shops advise sparta as it would be much better quality. Both bikes use shimano parts, but still sparta seems to be better?!

Now this is the sparta bad bullet, the male version, of course I'd be going for the lady's. The sparta bikes come complete with lighting and a lock. This one has a carrier on the back.

This is the sparta bouncer bullet, also the male version, again I'd be going for the lady's. I quite like the colour scheme on this one. This is the one that looks most like a beach cruiser.
It has 7 gears. At the moment my bike has gears too, how many? Well I don't know, cause I never use them..:)

This is the electra Tiki bike. I have to admit that this and the next one are both colour scheme's from 2006 and the catalogue for 2007 is out, so their not sure if these exact colours can be ordered, but the electra website has not been updated yet.
Check out the steer on this one. It is a lot higher. I've not been able to try it out as yet.
The electra bikes come without lock and without lighting. It's up to you to complete your bike your self. Pimp it if you like.

This is the Electra hawai relic red. I've been able to try the hawai male cruiser (does that sound kinda nasty to you too? :).

To pimp your beach cruiser, you could think of torpedo lights that are fastened to your front mudflap.

What do you think????
I'm also thinking of a basket on the front.
Just to help me carry munchies with me.
